2010 PRSSA NATIONAL CONFERENCE
WASHINGTON, D.C.
CHAPTER DEVELOPMENT SESSION
"GOING GLOBAL: CAMPUS CLIENTS TO INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS"
This past fall, West
Virginia State University's C.R. Byrd chapter of PRSSA was chosen as
one of eight chapters to present a Chapter Development Session at the
2010 PRSSA National Conference in Washington, D.C. The focus of our presentation was "Going Global: Campus Clients to International Success"
and we shared how we use the diversity of our students, faculty, and
campus programs to gain clients outside our school community. We are
proud to have clients that are not only located in the beautiful state
of West Virginia, but also throughout the United States and even
internationally. Our presentation concluded with a trivia game to test
our audience's retention rate and if they answered a question
correctly, they were rewarded with WVSU merchandise. Based on our
participant response, our development session was a huge success and we
reached our goal to inspired other schools to go global.
